Setup CAD standards. Develop templates and customize AutoCAD, Inventor and Navisworks to suit operational requirements. Due to limited volume of work I am now covering SFCT needs at weekends as required.

BARRO POINT WILSON QUARRY PROJECT
Assigned the Principal Design Draftsman position to manage the overall site GA along with the Mechanical, Civil and Structural design drafting details. Actively assisting and when required being responsible for the resolution and solutions to Mechanical, Structural and Civil issues as they arise.
Assist in developing and setting up the overall design drafting mythology, procedures and processes for this project. Responsible for the implementation and management of the software, hardware and drafting staff as required. Setting up templates and libraries, and problem solving all CAD related issues.
Assemble, maintain and update a full, site wide, 3D Navisworks model to check interfaces and to provide other checking staff and site crews with a clear understanding of what was being manufactured in China and installed in Australia. Also in parallel with this was the developing and maintaining of a 2D set of AutoCAD drawings detailing the full extent of the Structural, Civil and Mechanical components and layout.

Developed and updated 3D models of various options for consent issues.

Lead Design Draftsman on this contract. Responsible for developing the General arrangement drawings of the site. Including the detail positioning of all Mechanical Equipment, Civil work, Drainage and all services and amenities. Cross checking the various disciplines. Developed updated and maintained the overall site 3D Navisworks visualisation model.
This was a 125 million dollar contract and the biggest engineering contract within NZ at that time.
